API Onboarding

This section will describe more in details about how to onboard an API.

APIs can be onboarded in two way

1. By Group IT Integration Team

2. Self Publishing

Below you'll find more details about each method of API Publishing.

Option 1: Publish APIs using Group IT Integration Team

Group IT Integration team can help you publishing your API on the Sandvik APIM Platform. Kindly follow the below steps

1. Create a Service Portal Ticket with category as "Inquiry/help" and provide all details

   • API Endpoints

   • Swagger File

   • API Description

   • API Authentication Details

2. Assign the ticket to IPAAS & APIM Integration [XXX.XX.XXXX]

3. Schedule an initial meeting with mayank.mohta@sandvik.com

Option 2: Self Publishing

Publishing APIs at your own pace has its own advantages. You can publish your own APIs to Group IT APIM platform using your own DevOps tool via ARM, Bicep or Terraform or so on. There is no restriction from Group IT Integration team to use a specific deployment scripting language. You need to follow below steps to enable your team to self publish APIs:

1. Request for Azure App Registration one for each environment (Dev, QA and Prod)

2. Contact Johnny Koskitalo (johnny.koskitalo@sandvik.com) & Mayank Mohta (mayank.mohta@sandvik.com) for the subscription access

3. Create service connection for each environment

4. Publish your APIs to Group IT APIM Platform.
